South Korea’s LG is expanding aggressively into 8K, in particular in readiness for next year’s Tokyo Olympic Games.
LG’s Signature-branded OLED 8K ‘Super Hi-Vision’ screens are now available in Japan, with local reports quoting Lee Young-chae, VP at LG Electronics Japan, saying that the sets, which combine OLED and 8K technologies, would win the hearts of Japanese consumers.
The price is Yen 3,597,350 (nearly €30,000) for the 88” model.
