Spain: Disney+ pay-TV integration?
November 29, 2019
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Following the examples of Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and HBO, SVoD service Disney+ is seeking to be integrated into Spain’s main pay-TV platforms – Movistar, Vodafone and Orange – when it launches in the country.
According to El Español, Disney is holding negotiations with all three pay-TV operators to that end prior to a March 31st launch, with the company not ruling out also launching as a standalone service to target the widest potential audience in the country.
The service will also launch in the UK on the same date.
