From David del Valle in Madrid
Movistar and Orange are now involved in a fight to capture customers in horeca outlets (hotels, restaurants and cafes) with price promotions in their football offers.
Orange has just launched an offer of €259 a month for the first six months that includes all La Liga matches (First and second division), the Champions and Europa League. Subscribers to Orange TV Bares will also enjoy other content like tennis, boxing, cycling, the Tokyo Olympic Games, motocross, super bikes, among others as well as all content from Eurosport.
Movistar is also promoting its football offer in public places. Spaniards will also be able to watch all matches from La Liga, the Champions and the Europa League in hotels, restaurants and cafes following Movistar’s launch of a package now under promotion for €320 a month for these places.
The package will also include six games of the play-offs as well as access to Movistar’s #Vamos channel that will show football matches from other European football Leagues like Serie A in Italy, Ligue 1 in France, and Bundesliga in Germany.
Also, the horeca offer will include Movistar Formula 1 and other content like basketball, tennis, golf, rugby and cycling.
