February 20, 2019
Jeroen Bergman, Liberty Global’s MD for programming, is to step down “pursue other opportunities” the company has confirmed. The post will not be continued.
Bergman joined Liberty Global’s predecessor UPC in 1999 and has led Liberty Global’s programming efforts for 17 years.
Bruce Mann, Chief Content Officer said: “Jeroen has delivered tremendous value to Liberty Global through his commercial acumen and team leadership. He has positioned Liberty Global extremely well to navigate an evolving rights landscape and maximise its investment in content. I want to thank Jeroen for his tremendous service to Liberty Global. He has long been one of the driving forces behind the content partnerships that fuel our entertainment proposition.”
Liberty Global is simplifying its operating structure following the sell-off of many of its continental operations to Vodafone.
