Spain: 1 in 3 homes have pay-TV

According to the latest Panel de Hogares survey from Spain’s competition and markets watchdog, the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), 33 per cent of homes in Spain had pay-TV at the end of 2017, a 5 per cent increase over the previous year.
The majority take their pay TV service through a convergent offer with an average ARPU of €78.70, up 6.5 per cent on the previous year.
Football attracted 21.7 per cent of subscribers to a pay-TV offer, with 15 per cent for TV series.
