Spain: Jazztel best for Netflix; Movistar worst
May 24, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Movistar has been declared the worst telco operator to watch Netflix on in Spain, and Jazztel the best, according to network speed data produced by Netflix.
Movistar ranked bottom with a speed of 2.78 Mbps per second, being the only Spanish operator with a speed lower than 3 Mbps. The rock-bottom ranking has been the case since April 2017 when Netflix first reported started reporting the data. Movistar hasn’t improved speeds in spite of its recent deal earlier this year with Netflix to integrate its service onto the platform.
Jazztel is the best with a speed of 3.92 Mbps per second, followed by Vodafone with 3.76 Mbps, Orange, 3.73, Euskaltel and ONO with 3.65 Mbps.
