Last week it was a Canadian pension fund and a Holiday Camp business that looked like the front runners to wrap a purchase of British television and cellular transmission company Arqiva. Now the waters are definitely muddied with talk that there’s another batch of would-be buyers now interested in Arqiva.
Initial bids must be entered by July 10th for a transaction designed to close by the end of this year.
The latest names quoted by Bloomberg to be looking at the asset include London-based private equity outfit Terra Firma Capital Partners, Canada’s Brookfield Asseyt Management, Spanish cellular tower business Cellnex Telecom and CVC Capital Partners.
Arqiva’s current owners include Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and Australia’s Macquarie Group.
