June 1, 2017
In its effort to deliver major sporting events in virtual reality, Fox Sports has added the UEFA Champions League final to its growing list of offerings in the US. Teaming with LiveLike, Fox Sports will offer multiple camera angles of the match, as well as statistics and pre-game VoD features through the Fox Sports VR app.
The Fox Sports VR app can be viewed without any special VR equipment through the interactive, 360-degree viewing experience built specifically for mobile devices, or with a Gear VR or cardboard headset.
Over the last year, Fox Sports has offered more than a dozen major events in VR, including Super Bowl LI, the 2016 & 2017 Big East Men’s Basketball Tournaments, the 2016 US Open Championship, the 2016 MLS Cup, the 2016 Bundesliga season opener, the 2016 Big Ten Football Championship and a PBC heavyweight title fight.
