Altice preps cooking net MY Cuisine
April 7, 2017
From Pascale Paoli-Lebailly in Paris
Altice will launch next June in several countries a new international TV channel dedicated to cooking and called MY Cuisine.
At launch, the new channel will be carried exclusively on the SFR platform in France, Belgium and Luxemburg, before expanding to French-Speaking Africa and Switzerland. MY Cuisine will also be launched in Portugal into Altice’s lifestyle offering.
The group announces it will provide programmes from FremantleMedia which it has struck a three-year deal that gives it access to Jamie Oliver shows in France and Portugal.
This project is conceived as a media brand that will associate television to a print magazine and digital offspring. Altice already own a cooking-oriented channel in Israel on platform HOT. In France, there was no longer a cooking channel after Canal+ closed Cuisine + in June 2015.
