OTT video services provider Simplestream has announced that its Cloud TV Platform has been chosen by MTG-owned Trace – the urban music and entertainment global media group – to power its new SVoD, live TV and radio offering TracePlay.
Simplestream has built the service with features that include HD live channels and VoD with high quality adaptive streaming, the flexibility to create multiple thematic content packs based on deep metadata to enhance content discovery across multiple screens, region-based content controls to customise how content is presented in real-time, and localisation of all content in English and French.
The service offers direct and live access to 10 music and sports TV channels, 31 FM and digital urban music radios, and a selection of urban series, films and documentaries. TracePlay will be progressively available to the entire world starting with 80 countries (the UK, Ireland, US, Africa, the Caribbean, the Netherlands and all French-speaking European countries) on desktop, Apple TV, iOS and Android mobile and tablet devices.
