Apple planning original content
January 13, 2017
Apple is preparing a move into original content production as it seeks to take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
The tech giant is planning to bundle original video content with its $10-a-month Apple Music subscription service by the end of 2017, according to a report from the WSJ.
Apple has reportedly already held talks with “veteran producers” about both original TV shows and movies. Apple acquired the Carpool Karaoke TV series fronted by James Corden in July, but this would be a significant enhancement of these ambitions.
