Sky Sports F1 to show all Grands Prix in UHD
January 5, 2017
Sky Sports F1 will be the only place to watch every Formula 1 Grand Prix live next season, with ten races exclusively live including the opening two from Australia and China, and two of the final three races.
And for the first time in UK TV history, viewers in the UK and Ireland with Sky Q can watch every Grand Prix in ultra HD. Customers with Sky Q can also enjoy split viewing, with different race camera angles and highlights alongside live coverage.
Sky Sports Head of Formula 1 Martin Turner said: “With UHD it’s Formula 1 like you’ve never seen it before. It will be the hardest, fastest, loudest season in years with new rules, new cars, new engines and new, massive tyres. From the opening Grand Prix of the year to the season’s home-stretch, Sky Sports F1 remains the definitive place for fans to see every twist and turn of the season.”
Meanwhile, Channel 4 has confirmed the ten Formula 1 Grands Prix it will broadcast live in 2017 will include the British Grand Prix on July 16th and the Monaco Grand Prix on May 28th, marking the first time this iconic race will be shown live on free-to-air TV for five years.
