Sky Italia sees highest revenue growth since 2009

Sky Italia ended the three months to September 3oth with 4 per cent annual growth on revenue to €719 million – the highest Q1 revenue growth since 2009.
Subscribers grew for the fourth consecutive quarter, by 22,000, to a total of 4.76 million. This was the biggest Q1 growth over the past four years.
Advertising revenues were up by 17 per cent, the best Q1 ever, boosted by the Euro 2016 football tournament and the strong performance of the free-to-air channels. TV8 became the fastest growing channel in the FTA market, with audiences doubling year on year.
Over 50 per cent of customers are now connected and able to access Sky On Demand, including Sky Box Sets. The Sky Extra loyalty programme has over 1.5 million subscribers.
