CNBC expands with Latino version
October 11, 2016
By Chris Forrester
Business news TV channel CNBC is expanding with a Latin American version. Distribution will see CNBC reach viewers in countries such as Mexico, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The channel launches this week.
This announcement is part of CNBCs wider strategy to grow the brand into emerging markets. Earlier this year, for example, CNBC announced the launch of CNBC Indonesia, a dedicated business and financial TV and digital news service set to launch later this year.
CNBC Latin America will feature a mix of CNBC’s hit business shows such as Squawk Box and a selection of the channel’s entertainment offerings including Late Night with Seth Meyers and the PGA World Tour.
