Turner gets Star Wars

Turner networks TNT and TBS will be the exclusive US basic-cable homes for the Star Wars movie franchise after signing a multiyear deal with Walt Disney Studios.
The deal, announced includes the network premieres of last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens (which will air in early 2018) and the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (some time in 2019), which is released in December.
The agreement with Walt Disney Studios also includes five of the six original Star Wars films, as well as the network television premieres of three future installments.
