David Gibbons has been appointed to the role of SVP International Operations and Technology for NBCUniversal International, reporting to Ian Trombley (President, Operations & Technical Services) and Kevin MacLellan (Chairman, NBCUniversal International).  The appointment is effective from September 30th.

Based in London, Gibbons will play an integral role in accelerating NBCUniversal’s digital growth agenda, in addition to assuming strategic leadership of the digital technology teams, broadcast operations, IT and Operational service functions including Security and Facilities.

Gibbons joins NBCUniversal International from BBC Worldwide where he was most recently Chief Operating Officer, supporting the development and implementation of the company’s global growth strategy.

Gibbons said, “I’m really excited to have the opportunity to work with Kevin, Ian and the entire NBCUniversal family at a time of growth and change within our industry. NBCU International has some exciting plans for its strategic growth and I’m looking forward to applying my experience from a variety of global organisations to delivering on those ambitions.”
