Spain: Vodafone, Orange to air La Liga games
April 11, 2016
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Vodafone and Orange, Telefónica’s two main rivals, have both reached deals with Mediapro to broadcast the beIN Sport La Liga channel on their respective pay-TV platforms over the next three seasons.
From next year until 2019 their subscribers will be able to watch football matches from La Liga (eight every week and one of the two Clasico games between Real Madrid and Barcelona) and the Copa del Rey (King’s Cup) tournament.
Both operators recently acquired the rights to broadcast the games in bars and restaurants over the next three seasons. They also currently distribute beIN Sports with the main European football Leagues.
