Ex-News UK man Harri joins Liberty Global

Liberty Global has appointed Guto Harri to the newly created role of Managing Director, External Communications. Based in London, Harri will lead external communications for Liberty Global and its senior executives and will report to Manuel Kohnstamm, Liberty Global’s SVP and Chief Corporate Affairs Officer.
Harri joins Liberty Global from News UK, where he has been Director of Communications & Corporate Affairs since 2012. Prior to this he was Director of External Affairs for the Mayor of London Boris Johnson. Harri began his career as a journalist at the BBC, covering the collapse of communism, the fall of the Berlin Wall and the first Gulf War. He rose to become the BBC’s Chief Political Correspondent at Westminster and also had postings in Rome and New York.
Harri will take up his new role in February 2016.
