December 15, 2015
Howard Stern has renewed his deal with SiriusXM, the US satellite radio company, for five more years. “I’m very, very proud of this business and what has been accomplished,” Stern said on his show.
In addition to extending production of the show, Stern and SiriusXM announced on Tuesday a 12-year deal for further content related to Stern, including video programming as well as archives of the radio show.
“This is a unique and pioneering agreement, which includes SiriusXM licensing the Howard Stern archives in both audio and video through 2027,” James E. Meyer, SiriusXM’s chief executive, said in a statement. “We are thrilled that Howard is staying and expanding his relationship with SiriusXM to include video.”
