Paris-based satellite operator Eutelsat used the Munich ‘Mediadays’ annual event to announce an Ultra-HD cooperation with German public broadcaster Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR) which is part of the ARD consortium of public broadcasters in Germany. The third ‘partner’ in the project is the Munich Technical University (IRT).
The partners presented a six-minute TV film on the “workplace of the future” in UHD, which was captured at the Audi site in Ingolstadt and at the Technical University Munich. The film shows impressions of future working life through the example of the car manufacturer, including employees in the “chairless chair” or the close collaboration between human and robot during the course of production.
The film will be showcased for the next couple of days at the Munich International Congress Centre (ICM) as well as being telecast on Eutelsat’s UHD demo channel (4K1) from its ‘Hot Bird’ position at 13 degrees East.
