Netlflix will launch its streaming service in Spain next month with Ultra-HD content available from day one.
Content director Neil Hunt revealed in a press interview that Netflix’s price plans in Spain will start with a basic subscription of €7.99 a month to access the service with one device on SD; €8.99 a month for two devices on HD and €11.99 for four devices on Ultra-HD.
Users will require an Internet connection of 500 Kbps for the standard broadcast, at least 3 Mbps for HD content and 15 Mbps for 4k content.
Netflix will be available on Smart TVs, video game consoles, tablets and smartphones and through pay-TV platforms like Vodafone-Ono. Hunt said that Netflix is seeking new agreements with telco operators to be featured on as many platforms as possible.
