RTVE launches Star TVE for America

Spain´s pubcaster RTVE is launching a new channel, Star TVE, targeted at Latin America. With regular HD transmissions from October, the channel will be distributed through pay-TV platforms across the American continent offering an entertainment programming slate including TV series.
The channel is currently on trial through the Spanish satellite Hispasat. Start TV will strenghthen the international TV service operated by RTVE, with TVE Internacional, launched in 1989, as the main RTVE´s flagship.
