Reports from Russian sources say that the Proton satellite launching rocket will return to flight at the end of August.
The delays have been caused by an embarrassing rocket failure on May 16th which prompted dismissals amongst senior staff – and hints of criminal charges.
Russian news agency TASS is reporting that an Inmarsat-5F3 satellite will be the client customer and will be launched in the period August 28th-30th.
This news confirms other reports, notably from the head of Roscosmos saying that the Proton rocket would return to work during August.
