Sky-D to air German cup-final in UHD

Sky Deutschland is set to broadcast the DFB Cup Final football match in Ultra-HD in a number of bars across Germany.
The match, between Borussia Dortmund und VFL Wolfsburg on May 30th, will see Sky Deutschland equip the chosen venues with Samsung 65-inch and 78-inch TVs with built-in Ultra-HD tuners. For the production, 11 Ultra-HD cameras will be deployed including three Sony HDC 4300 cameras.
Paul Sexton-Chadwick, VP of business solutions at Sky Deutschland, commented that the transmission was a first for the German market, and that it would offer a unique experience to viewers
