Plusnet adds Youview service
May 7, 2015
UK ISP Plusnet has revealed details for its connected TV service. The broadband provider has been trialing TV services for several months, and now has followed BT and TalkTalk’s lead by offering a YouView-based platform to its customers.
YouView TV from Plusnet is available exclusively to Unlimited Fibre Broadband subscribers who also take a Plusnet home phone pack. As such, consumers can only access Plusnet’s TV offering by signing up for a triple-play fibre broadband bundle on an 18-month contract. The service will cost an additional £5 per month to Plusnet fibre customers, for which they will receive Freeview services, catch-up TV, access to on-demand content and the Entertainment channel pack. Subscribers can also bolt on various channel packs for £3 each per month.
