Empire coming to E4
April 8, 2015
E4 will air hit US series Empire in the UK this spring.
The hip-hop drama from Fox has become a big ratings success in the US, hitting over 23 million viewers for its final episode, the highest figure for the finale of a show’s debut season since Grey’s Anatomy back in 2005.
Channel 4’s chief creative officer Jay Hunt commented: “Empire has been a record-breaking hit in the US. It’s grown and grown as audiences have fallen in love with its unforgettable characters and soundtrack. I’m delighted it’s coming to E4.”
Fox has already commissioned the show for a second season.
