Universal Electronics (UEI) has announced that US comms giant Comcast has chosen UEI as the key supplier of its latest voice remote from XFINITY, an advanced voice remote platform for XFINITY services in the US. A recent agreement extends and expands the supply of remote controls, remote control technology, and associated products and services to Comcast over the term of the agreement.

The voice remote is expected to be widely available to subscribers of XFINITY services later this year.
