PerceptionTV launches after Vision247 demerger
November 6, 2014
PerceptionTV has confirmed its launch following a demerger from Vision 247 Ltd to market and sell its successful IPTV/OTT cloud-based multiscreen platform Perception. After extensive development, Perception has now come of age as a white label IPTV service and PerceptionTV Ltd has been created to drive its full commercial rollout worldwide.
The Perception IPTV multiscreen platform integrates live TV, catch-up TV, VoD and cloud-based PVR into one intuitive user-interface. It works on set top boxes, Smart TVs, PCs, tablets and smartphones, supporting iOS and Android and is designed for operators, ISPs and content aggregators that require a commercially flexible and rapidly deployable IPTV solution.
PerceptionTV Ltd has a dedicated management team focused on the global sales, marketing and licencing of the Perception platform. Product development and technical support will continue to be undertaken in Slovenia. Sister company Vision247 Ltd remains focussed on streaming, playout, and studio hire services that have historically been its core activity. Vision247 Ltd will also undertake head-end and streaming services for PerceptionTV Ltd clients who require a hosted or managed service.
John Mills, CEO PerceptionTV says “The success of Perception with customers T2 and KVH in the U.S. plus recently signed Innet in Slovenia, demonstrates the platform now demands dedicated focus and the creation of PerceptionTV Ltd reflects this requirement. With the explosion of internet television viewing, service providers globally are looking for multi-screen internet TV services. Perception is the most complete multiscreen platform available today and PerceptionTV Ltd will now spearhead its global roll out.”
