Mumbai-based Dish TV reported that it had added 378,000 subscribers during its most recent quarter (to September 30th) taking its total subscriber base to more than 12.1 million.
However, despite increasing revenues 12.13 percent and being helped by a growth in HDTV subs, the broadcaster saw a net loss of $2.46 million (INR 151m). ARPU levels increased slightly to $2.81 a month, while churn was maintained at 0.7 per cent/month.
Dish TV MD Jawahar Goel said that the numbers confirmed the broadcaster as India’s fastest-growing DTH player.
