Thinkbox has announced that Matt Hill, the current Head of Planning and Insight at Channel 5, has been appointed Research and Planning Director at Thinkbox. He will take up the post in early 2015.

Hill will have responsibility for Thinkbox’s research and planning teams and will take a seat on the Thinkbox board.

Hill has been at Channel 5 since 2006 and as Head of Planning and Insight since 2010. He is the broadcaster’s representative on the BARB board. Prior to Channel 5 he had roles at Virgin Media and Attentional. He replaces Neil Mortensen, who is leaving Thinkbox to become Director of Planning and Research at ITV.
