Skyworth to integrate Inview services
June 13, 2014
Skyworth, the Chinese set-top box company and Inview Technology, the broadcast and OTT solutions specialist, will be offering operators a number of Inview’s services including advertising, Push-VoD and multiscreen on a range of Skyworth’s set-top boxes.
Inview has also developed the platform for Skyworth’s HDMI dongle that enables users to view content such as VoD, live streamed channels and social networking apps on any television whilst controlling what they watch using their mobile phones. The TV provides the display for content and the mobile device provides gesture input to your TV, creating a platform for operators to deploy their content.
The advertising solution provides a reference UI implementation that displays adverts and click through content pages. This service enables operators to generate revenue through advertising in the UI and promotes content even when a user is watching a competing or free to air channel.
“We look forward to further strengthening our relationship with Skyworth by extending our range of cost-effective hardware solutions for quick and easy deployment” said Julie Austin, CEO of Inview Solutions.
