April 29, 2014
Verimatrix has announced that Steve Oetegenn has been named president of the company, to play a more strategic role in the continued growth of the company as more large digital video operators are transitioning to an IP-centric network infrastructure.
“Steve’s enhanced role at Verimatrix is the logical progression of our strategic business development initiatives, as he has played a central role in establishing our strong market presence and reputation for the last 10 years,” said Tom Munro, CEO of Verimatrix. “Our vision of revenue security within the software-empowered video operator model requires a more sophisticated approach to the market and our customers. Steve is the ideal person to lead this effort.”
Oetegenn has specialised in digital security and anti-piracy for nearly 20 years working with government agencies, Fortune 500 companies and major Hollywood studios. Prior to joining Verimatrix, he was COO of MediaSec Technologies, COO of Argus Systems Group and CEO of DCE Communication.
