BT slimlines YouView STB
February 25, 2014
BT has unveiled the ‘next generation’ version of its YouView set top box.
Manufactured by Humax, the updated STB – dubbed YouView+ – houses a new processor to deliver better performances and will be supplied to all new BT TV customers signing up to the service henceforth.

The STB is two-thirds the size of the original model, measuring just 24cm wide, and is roughly the same width as BT’s latest HomeHub routers.
Alex Green, director of BT TV, commented: “The new YouView+ box from BT has all the functions and features that viewers love about the service, but it’s even better. It’s been a big hit with customers who have already tried it out. They’ve said it is smaller, quieter and faster. The new YouView+ box from BT has been designed in the style of other BT devices, so will look great in any living room.”
