Independent film distribution network Europa Distribution and London-based anti-piracy company MUSO have announced a partnership to support the network’s members in protecting their content from the effects of online piracy.
Finalised at this year’s Berlinale, the partnership will see MUSO providing Europa Distribution members with guidance, training and access to MUSO’s suite of online tools.
MUSO’s goal is to empower distributors to take proactive action to reduce the impact of piracy and optimise their online space for the best possible sales environment. Dedicated to serve its members, Europa Distribution is always seeking to offer them solutions to improve practices and know-how in distribution at a European level: the partnership with MUSO is therefore an opportunity for its members to tackle the issue of piracy.”
“We see Independent film releases impacted in the same way as the major studio releases, so we’re delighted to be providing our expertise and insight to Europa Distribution members,” commented MUSO’s Director, Media, Christopher Elkins. “The first step to implementing an effective anti-piracy strategy is realising there are simple, straightforward measures that can be done in house, that can make all the difference to the commercial success of a new release.”
