Towercom renews Astra capacity
February 12, 2014
SES has signed a long-term renewal with Towercom, a Slovakian telecommunications and TV operator, for the use of a transponder on the Astra 3B satellite at SES’s 23.5 degrees East orbital position.
Towercom utilises multiple transponders at 23.5 degrees East, delivering TV services, including HD content distribution, to the Czech and Slovakian markets. Towercom provides capacity to Skylink, the leading satellite TV platform for Slovakia and the Czech Republic, serving more than 2 million customers.
“Our objective is to provide high quality and innovative services to our clients,” said Roman Fischer, CEO and Chairman of the Board at Towercom. “Cooperating with the most reliable satellite provider, SES, helps us to do this and remain a reliable long-term partner for our customers.”
