Zulueta appointed president of Conecta

Spain’s pay-TV Association Conecta has appointed Eduardo Zulueta, Chello Multicanal’s CEO, as its new president, with Manuel Gil, CEO at Viacom International Media Networks Spain as the vice president.
The Association is gaining momentum in Spain gathering the interests of the main producers of themed channels in the country, including the big International groups, such as Sony Pictures TV Networks Iberia, Time Warner, Universal Networks or The Walt Disney Company, among others.
Conecta is becoming active in the Spanish TV market at a time when the pay TV business is marooned with a penetration rate of 25 per cent and pay TV operators losing subscribers every month.
