DirecTV joins MoCA Board
December 11, 2012
DirecTV has joined the Board of Directors of the Multimedia over Coax Alliance, MoCA.
DirecTV, a MoCA Promoter member, joined the Alliance in 2008 and has been deploying devices integrating MoCA technology since 2009. To date, millions of DirecTV set-top boxes and adaptors integrating MoCA technology have been deployed in DirecTV customer homes in the US and Latin America.
“MoCA technology is and will continue to be a critical element of our whole home DVR expansion throughout our footprint,” said John Norin, vice president, Technology & Ventures at DirecTV, who will represent DirecTV on the MoCA Board. “We look forward to helping the organisation in its mission of becoming a worldwide standard.”
