China’s Hisense to develop Google TV in US

Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer Hisense has assembled an R&D team based in Qingdao, Canada, and the US to develop a Google TV product for the global market to be released as soon as possible, according to sources within the company.
Google China president John Liu and Hisense chairman Zhou Houjian jointly announced in July that the two companies were in cooperation to develop Google smart TV products, and on August 22nd, Google VP of product development Mario Queiroz visited Hisense to make arrangements.
Hisense unveiled its Hisense Plus Google TV STB in late August at the IFA in Berlin.
