Canal Plus launches advanced recommendation
August 31, 2012
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Spain’s digital DTH platform, Canal Plus, owned by Prisa, is launching a new application on its iPlus set-top-box that will allow subscribers to use a personal content recommendation system in line with their likes and interests.
Developed by Jinni, the new app will enable users to select and watch their own content as well as to search words to have access to their favourite content within all the content catalogue (series, films, documentaries, related news stories).
This service will be added to the existing one “Canal Plus recommends” that records from time to time some content recommended by the platform to its subscribers. The launch of this new service is a new step forward in the personalisation strategy of the platform, according to Prisa TV.
