UEFA and Eurovision transmission partnership
July 18, 2012
Following the successful delivery of the transmission services for the 31 Matches of Euro 2012, the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and Eurovision have signed an exclusive, multiyear partnership for live, global audiovisual transmission services.
Under the contract, all audiovisual UEFA programmes will be distributed around the world exclusively on the Eurovision satellite and fibre network. This includes all UEFA Champions League and UEFA EuropaLeague matches for the 2012 to 2015 cycle, and the national team matches of the European Qualifiers for Euro 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
