nangu.TV, RGB Networks multiscreen IP
March 20, 2012
nangu.TV has revealed a newly established partnership with RGB Networks, a supplier of multiscreen and IPTV video delivery solutions. In a recent customer implementation, the nangu.TV IPTV and OTT solution has been paired with RGB’s Video Multiprocessing Gateway (VMG) transcoder to build a complete adaptive streaming video delivery architecture.
Compatibility of the nangu.TV/RGB solution was proven in cooperation with a large Swiss operator, Swisscom Broadcast Ltd, who has purchased both products and is utilising them to promote its managed IPTV platform. In this integrated system, RGB’s VMG transcodes the video streams, delivering various multi-bitrate H.264 profiles. The nangu.TV Ingestor product accepts these streams, saves them to nangu.TV Cluster Stream Storage and delivers them to a variety of clients. This integration ensures that the streams remain in a compatible format, and that stored and live streaming content maintains the highest possible video quality, even when adapted for different devices, including set-top boxes, PCs, tablets and mobile devices.
