LoveFilm iPad app
September 29, 2011
The iPad app has been designed to let users pause, fast-forward and rewind the movies they stream. The app is free to download, but movies and TV shows can only be streamed by LoveFilm subscribers
LoveFilm CEO Simon Calver said the launch marks an important step in its strategy to boost the portability of its streaming service. “LoveFilm on iPad is the latest step in giving film fans total control over their viewing schedule and our commitment to expanding the ways in which members can stream movies and TV series on a range of devices.”
The news comes as LoveFilm’s parent company Amazon unveiled a new tablet version of its Kindle e-reader in the US.
