Ministry of Sound 300% increase in video
September 21, 2011
Base79, the UK’s leading digital rights management and monetisation company, has announced a 300 per cent increase in viewing figures and significant increase in revenue generation for the Ministry of Sound video catalogue.
The increase follows Ministry of Sound licensing its catalogue of 500 video assets to Base79 (previously MyVideoRights). Using the Base79’s rights management technology, total views of Ministry of Sound’s YouTube channel videos have increased to an average of 60 million per month. This represents an increase of 300 per cent over the previous average of 20 million.
The increase in viewing has resulted from the application of Base79’s rights management technology. By identifying unauthorised use of copyrighted content online and ensuring all content is search engine optimised (SEO), a steady increase in viewing has been channelled to Ministry of Sound video assets.
