December 14, 2009
Cox Communications, the third-biggest US cable system, is close to an agreement with Viacom to carry new movie channel Epix, according to reports. Epix was launched on October 30th as a joint venture of Viacom’s Paramount Pictures, Lions Gate Entertainment and MGM, with just one distribution partner, Verizon's FiOS TV service. That means it is currently available only to about 2.5 million households.
