BSkyB, Irdeto box clever with S3
June 1, 2009
From Colin Mann in Cologne
Digital TV product, service and IP provider S3 revealed at ANGA Cable that its StormTest product has been licensed by UK digital satellite service BSkyB to automate testing of its set-top boxes (STBs).
The client/server architecture built into the product design can support remote testing, on-site testing and field testing to span the entire development cycle from early STB product development through to full deployment.
Content protection and monetisation specialist Irdeto has also selected StormTest to support the development and testing of its Conditional Access system, the product performing end-to-end testing of different features on multiple varieties of STBs.
