Chinese online video site Voole plans to release an HD online video service, “Lebo”, targeted at both television and computer users, before the end of the year. The new Internet home cinema online service will provide video on demand to computer or television users at full 1920×1080 HD resolution.
So far Voole has established co-operative partner relationships with a number of major content producers, including Sony Pictures and Warner Bros in Hollywood and MBC Television in South Korea, giving it access to more than 2,000 movie titles and 10,000 television programs. This year, Voole will also host the simultaneous DVD/online HD release of over 60 films.
