PacketVideo and Nagravision enable mobile TVs
February 13, 2009
Nagravision and PacketVideo, the software innovator powering the global mobile multimedia services, have introduced the first conditional access enabled version of the Telly device. Created by PV and combined with Nagravision's Mobile TV solution, Telly turns iPhones, WiFi-enabled phones, portable media players and PCs into mobile television sets.
The product seamlessly decodes broadcast signals and repurposes them for high quality viewing, automatically recognising the consumer's device using protocols to ensure rendering of the TV signal. Because Telly processes audio and video signals, consumers have access to secure, premium channels without changing their handset.
