C4 shuts digital sales
October 21, 2008
Channel 4 is to close 4DS, its third-party digital ad sales arm, with the loss of up to 10 jobs. 4DS was launched in March 2007 as a stand-alone business selling advertising on third-party websites. However, Channel 4 now wants to focus its digital sales efforts into its own core digital assets – 4oD, channel4.com and E4.com.
Meanwhile, News International has merged its digital sales teams to sell across all digital titles, including TheSun.co.uk, Newsoftheworld.co.uk,Timesonline.co.uk and the londonpaper.com.
