August 11, 2008
The KCC has decided to take applications for IPTV service providers on August 28-29 and review them from September 2 to 5. In the communications industry, KT, Hanaro Telecom, LG Dacom and Daum are expected to submit applications.
A panel of broadcasting and communications experts will review the applications based on business plans submitted by the companies, looking at six categories. They include public accountability, fairness and public benefit. Applicants must be companies whose majority shares are owned by Koreans. Back
