Spain’s DTT reaches 10m

One out of every four households in Spain are already connected to DTT, reaching a total of 10 million viewers. However, only 4.6 million people daily watch DTT in the country, representing an average share of 9.5 per cent, according to the latest figures released by the Pro DTT Association, Impulsa TDT.
Following a Christmas campaign, the number of DTT boxes sold in the market has surpassed eight million. In November, more than 415,000 DTT tuners were sold, of which more than 52 per cent are integrated DTT TV sets. Madrid is the Spanish region with a highest DTT penetration reaching 16.2 per cent with one million people watching DTT every day.
